Kathryn Joiner, AIBD is an award-winning designer and a Certified Professional Building Designer, having qualified by examination through the National Council of Building Designer Certification. She has over 25 years of experience in the residential design industry with over 1,000 projects to her credit. Kathryn currently serves on the Codes and Standards Committee of AIBD and the Board of Directors for the Maine Building Officials and Inspectors Association. She has previously served as president of the Northeast Society of AIBD, Regional Representative of NCBDC and Regional Representative of the International Code Council.
In 1985, Kathryn earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Architectural Engineering at Vermont Tech, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Technical Education, summa cum laude, from the University of Southern Maine in 1996. Kathryn has taught Architectural Design at Southern Maine Community College and Drafting at the University of Southern Maine.
